What is AvoMap?
AvoMap is a route video maker that runs in your browser. It turns GPX and KML files, Strava activities, or routes you draw by hand into animated 3D map videos. Import or draw the route, watch the preview right away, and render the video when it looks right.
How do I make a 3D map video of my route?
Create a free account, then draw the route in the editor or import a GPX or KML file. The editor shows a 3D preview straight away. Adjust the duration, camera angle, map style and points of interest, then click Create Video. The finished MP4 downloads to your computer.
Can I turn a GPX file into a video for free?
The editor is free and every feature is unlocked, including the full 3D preview. Upload the GPX or KML file and change the camera and styles for as long as you like. You pay only when you export the finished file. The GPX to video page walks through it step by step.
Can I make a video from my Strava activity?
Yes. Connect your Strava account and import any activity straight into the editor, or download the GPX from strava.com and drop it in. Any activity with a GPS track works. The Strava video guide covers both ways.
Can I create an animated travel map without a GPS file?
Yes. Pick the activity type, set an origin and destination for each segment, and combine flights, drives, rides and walks in one animated map. Flights are drawn between 7,695 airports on a realistic 3D globe.
How much does an AvoMap video cost?
Previewing is free. Each export costs render credits: a 1080p video is 1 credit, and 4K, logo removal or ten or more custom symbols add 1 credit each. Credits come in one-time packages on the pricing page, where the credit calculator shows the exact cost before you export.
Is there a subscription?
No. AvoMap has no monthly plan. You buy credits once and spend them when you render a video. Nothing renews and there are no hidden fees.
What video quality and format do I get?
Videos render as MP4 at 60 frames per second in 1080p Full HD, or in 4K Ultra HD for one extra credit. The file uploads directly to YouTube or Instagram, with no conversion needed.
